Toby has lead an impressive offensive in his new body of work attacking the disillusionment and disenchantment inflicted on him post graduate school.

No Originals, is a statement on the future of photography in an American culture that is so saturated with imagery that if you’re not adding to the public sphere of photographs then what’s the point. Toby attempts to define photography in a world that believes it’s significance is equal to a boy scout badge while simultaneously rebutting harsh critique from “purists” who covet authenticity not only in the process but in the imagery as well. His current subjects range from masculinity, collective sexuality, collective financial power and class mobility.

While photography is his prime medium, Toby’s work encompasses graphic design and collage as well. An alumni of Moravian College, Bethlehem, PA and MFA graduate of Vermont College of Fine Arts, Montpelier, VT.  He currently resides in CT with his wife and two cats working a corporate job.  The money is A+ and in three years he will have a MBA (he didn't pay for) that will hopefully facilitate his approach to take over the art needs a refresh.
